about a month ago I started to search for a free music tracker with cutoff, reverb, resonance and other cool effects and casually I found an almost unknown and old program called AXS: http://www.resolutionaudio.nl

In short it's similar to a classical tracker (like FT2 for example) but has 2 oscillators which allow to create fantastic instruments and basslines or just use the default ones available in the program... just what I was searching since it's also incredibly simple and quick to use.

In fact after having quickly read the manual (a rare thing for me since I hate to read!) I started to play with the program and in some minutes I already realized a cool track which I will release soon on my website.

I think I will just say bye bye to the old FT2 ih ih ih

what trackers do you use usually?
I think that the major problem of the sample based trackers (those which use wav files and not instruments generated in real-time) is just in the quality because the sound of the instruments is too much modified when you change the note.

Then the absence of cool effects is just a pain, in FT2 if I need to create a cutoff effect (not a real one) I take 2 samples and apply a big and small cutoff, then I put the sequence of note in 2 different tracks with the volume of each track used as a mixer... naaa this sux!

it's from some time that I have noticed this bug but unfortunately doesn't seem to exist a way to fix it.
in short in AXS the left channel sounds a bit louder than the right one, just a bit that is not perceptible with the speakers but it can be heard/noticed with the headphones.

the only way to fix this is probably in the creation of the final mp3/wav giving more amplification on the right one but it's still not a good solution... very irritating
