the server just kicks everyone like the server crashes, but it doesnt restart like it normally does. the log just scrolls this message every 3 seconds

Couldn't connect to server console! An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. (10054)

what kind of attack is this.

any help is much appreciated.

at a first view this one seems a non-security related bug, something probably in the configuration of the server (map, mod and so on).
The server enters in a loop where it crashes continuely.

Naturally nobody is excluding a possible vulnerability but I'm not aware of out-game bugs in the latest version of bf1942.
I talk about the "latest version" because bf1942 is one of the games which uses the Gamespy SDK on which I found a Denial of Service caused by a NULL pointer exploitable from outside the server in the far 2004 and that has been fixed very very slowly by these games:

ive seen similiar bug in half-life server (steam).
it has autorestart and everything, but sometimes when it crashes..it like doesn't crash it only freezes. so autoreboot doesnt work because its not actually crashed. it doesn't kick players, it just times out.
think Luigi is right that it is in config or at least something to do with settings. well ofc it can also be a hosting (if its a company, not somebody's pc). sometimes hosting just lags so badly that it seems like it crashed, but i doubt its the case.
just seems so like the problem in half-life server, just freezes and have to be restarted manually.
