oh well, I have seen lot of people on google having doubts about this PA207.dat (or other PA*.dat names) file located in c: so let's go with the real info.

PA207 stands for Pixel Art version 2.07 and is a file created by the drivers of the webcams that use the Pixel Art chip (horrible quality, at least the Trust 1400... blah).

this file is created when you press the button for the quick snapshot on the camera and indeed that file contains just the raw image captured when the button has been pressed and you can see it with your eyes:
  • rename the file with a raw extension like pa207.raw
  • open it with Irfanview or another tool that supports raw images
  • now you must set the parameters that are the same of your camera, for example:
    Image width: 352
    Image height: 288
    File header size: 0
    24 BPP
    Vertical flip
    Color order: RGB
    Interleaved

mistery solved, sleep well
