Why?

InfinityWard didn't make World at War. Treyarch did. Thats why it sucks so badly =P

Its using the CoD4 Engine thou, but they could have patched it.

I think that IW works on the engine and the rest (content) is made by treyarch.
anyway the conclusion is that with 2 brains the bug is still there :)

..just a comment from me.
this example here only points on the thing, which i have said many, many times. game developers really don't care if ppl use exploits to crash eachother's servers or not.
for example if some game admin who is hosting game servers, sees this post...then im 100% sure he/she still buys this game and hosts server. so from game developer side, they don't lose any clients...and they still happy :) so this is why you see so many silly things in latest games.

but however they do repair most of the bugs.

Excuse the old topic bump, but just a little information for anyone that's interested:

I now have the full version of CoD 5 world at war with the latest patch installed (1.3.1080), and sadly...this bug is still present.

developers just sleep or are not interested :)
I forgot to link here the patch I wrote:

http://aluigi.org/patches/cod4vawo.lpatch

it's just the same of cod4 because the pattern is the same (I updated it at the beginning of December because one byte wasn't catched by the searched pattern)

tbh, i think gamedevelopers enjoy seing people crash each others servers, why? because it creates drama and an urge for revenge, and u get heated fighting in the game, friends become enemies, enemies become friends. conspiracies and a sick urge to kill the people who crash your server. u try to get revenge in game, try to settle it with clan matches etc. it makes people play more but thats just my conspiracy theory
