Just an very interesting discovery i made. i actually posted it on my forum, but i just had to post it here too :)

well this is the strangest thing ive ever seen, sounds like a magic to me lol. This monitor is from year 1999 or 2001 or so. not sure.
It is 21' (inch) CRT monitor, which is BIG and HEAVY. well thats not the point. So far the specs said that max resolution is 1600x1200@80hZ, on some reason when i checked the box "hide modes that this monitor can't support" it showed only 75hZ as max.

I recently used backtrack3 (linux) live cd to check some things and on some reason it chose 1600x1200@85hZ and it worked fine. so now i started to test and hit it on 1600x1200@85hZ, worked fine (in windows). ok if thats not odd, then take a bite of this !
I hitted it on 2048x1536@60hZ and guess what, it worked
Don't beliave me ? Its ok, even i didn't, but here's the screenshot i took at this resolution and it looks BIG. its like 1.5 times bigger resolution it should support, no wonder this 21' inch CRT monitor still costs like 300-400 dollars. yes thats right, you read it right. 300-400 dollars for a CRT monitor. here's one place where they sell it, if you don't belive my words, well i got mine for like 150 about 5 years ago, pretty good deal i guess :)

I actually did some research about it and i found some other forum where one guy was also talking about same model and saying that his monitor runs over the specs too. I guess those 'storys' about Dell monitors are really true, that they are very good and durable.
And at end...i should add that now i can't even see that resolution anymore, windows won't allow me to change to this crazy resolution anymore...hmmm ?? If it comes to refresh rate, then i can always untick the box where it says "hide the modes that this monitor can't support" and i can choose higher, but not about the resolution. Also on THIS site it says that it supports 1920x1440, but i got it on 2048x1536. Seems like its some experimental monitor or on some reason they put other parts in it. really no clue, but its quite awsome.
