the structure of the file and the compressed data in it doesn't look familiar.
do you have also the executable of the game?
maybe it contains some useful informations

Hi ,aluigi
I'm stevenx friend .

On Alone in the Dark 5
I think that regardless of what kind of encryption methods. When the main program in the implementation of the game must be decrypted in memory.
Is it can be used to track data in memory means to achieve them unpack

maybe a part of the big file would be useful because these fat are only indexes.
anyway note that I can give only a quick look, so don't expect much

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=13HVRLOW.

Here is included with the cracked .exe .lzo dll and a .fat and cut of the bigfile.
I know this has to use some sort of lzo compression i can recognise riff adpcm headers in the stream and some audio data, hmm i wonder if the audio data is uncompressed and thats just left to add the headers but im not entirely sure.

Maybe possible to emulate the game somehow to see how the .exe handles the big decryption?

uhmmm I have checked the big one and I see a structure at offset 0x800 and I see also the uncompressed sizes of the wave files matching them but I don't see the offsets and after some tests with my comtype_scanner I got no results using the lzo compression so I don't have other ideas.
maybe try to post it also on xentax
