About 60% of servers on Jedi Knight Academy give me the error "@@@SERVER_FOR_LOW_PING" when using q3fill.

It would be helpfull to know if there is any known solution to avoid this errors.

Works perfectly fine in almost any other server, nice job.

do you see the low_ping error message starting from the secord/third fake player or just from the first one?
I don't think that the ping time can be lowered since it's something network related, and I don't know how to optimize q3fill more since it already tries to handle the UDP packets as faster it can.
Naturally suggestions or ideas are welcome.

jedi academy is old game...so does it have some packet checking on or not ? what i mean is: is it possible to send fake players there with packet editor ? ...if it allows that, then its possible to send those fake players using packet editor .. and packet editors can send them much faster. even so fast that it lags server badly..

JA uses the quake 3 engine and, consequently, it's challenge response algorithm

About q3fill and Jedi Academy, there is a mod called ClanMod which has the automatic banning of the q3fill default players (so without the custom parameters enabled with the -m option which, I remember, are ever useful for specific games).

This mod looks at the forcepowers, cg_predictItems and color1 fields to identify the default fake players so the following options should bypass the limitation:

-m "forcepowers\1-1-010000000000000000\cg_predictItems\1\color1\3" -g

(-g disables the cl_guid parameter which is good for other mods)

and if you receive an error like the following:

Error: Server uses protocol version 26.
This error means you must disable compression (-c flag)

it's enough to remove the -g option from the command-line of the previous post:

-m "forcepowers\1-1-010000000000000000\cg_predictItems\1\color1\3"
