Hello again.I saw a server with fake players on it...i have downloaded the q3fill but the bots are not invisible and their pings are 999 before time out.Is any way to make the bots have ping really awsome,be invisible and never time out?
There is absolutely a way to do that.

any way to explain this? (The bots are invisible in-game & from the server status their pings are awsome!)
Please explain how this could be done.

that's the classical method used to "fake" the number of players in the server (so it's a method for "attracting" more real users, not an attack).

it's classical and also easy because all it does is modifying the reply to the information queries saying that there are more players (and names in the queries that support them like quake3) than the reality.

in short this doesn't affect the "in-game" part of the game, it only affects a particular UDP packet that is infoResponse and StatusResponse, that's why I say it's simple.

in case someone is interested (and I know they are) I have made a quick and stupid example of plugin for Proxocket that automatically sets 11 players in the information replies of various games and engines like Quake 3, Gamespy, Half-Life, Source, ASE and so on.

I have written it on the fly so could exist bugs and so on.

how to use:
- copy ws2_32.dll of Proxocket in the folder of your server
- copy THIS myproxocket.dll in the same folder (you must compile it if the
file not available)
- start your server

note that it's only an example so try it.

note that some games like CoD4 don't send the "clients" parameter in the "getinfo" reply if the server is empty and so in that case the packet will be not modified.

Yeah..That's cool...But Aluigi you didnt answer to my question.How this could be happen on CoD4?Cause there is a way but I dont know it..Hope you do!

Okay..That's cool Luigi.I know many people that they want to have fake players on their servers....but they didnt understand anything off all this...I didnt too... :( .Is there any way to make a video showing us how to locate files (and witch one of them) , run the plugin and showing us fake players on the server? If you do that you ll be High Respected by me and my friends ( I already do ).Greetz to this forum! Sorry for my bad english.
