Hello,

Myself and some users over at NoGripRacing need your assistance into unpacking NFS Shift 2.

http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showt ... p?t=246311

http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6321

We so far used old Shift 1 extracted for the .bff format, however when using the ???-loose??? command on the Shift 2 shortcut it fails to load. We think that the .bff format is slightly different and is not extracting all .bff files, if you need any files at all I can provide everything. The '-loose" command can be used in Shift 2 so its extracting that is I think causing issues.

I did send Luigi a email and PM's this is my last chance here. :P

for anyone else interested in this topic, the old shift1 script for quickbms works perfectly also with shift2 as has been reported by an user on the relative thread on xentax (now I don't have the direct link because forum.xentax.com is down, uff).

remains the mistery of -loose but I don't have the game so I can say nothing about it.

Aluigi, your old "nfsshift.bms" work correctly. But I do not have to find the language files.:) In addition, impossible of repacking .bff files.

quickbms has the -w -r options for reinjecting data in the files (read quickbms.txt for details).
anyway:
- already existed a repacker for shift1 made by someone else so it should work also with these files
- if the mistery of the -loose option will be solved also the repacking problem will be solved
