When i use steampwd it fails becouse i dont have any value in my half-life "io". My steam account is on autologin.
How do make it work ?

steampwd says "hmac checksum differs, key is wrong" and looking at the key it only includes "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProductId"

and not "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Half-Life\Settings\io" becouse its emty..

btw i use vista 32bit..

I found solution in previus post. I used "steampwd C:\Program\Steam\clientregistry.blob NoMachineSpecificPassphraseAvailable" in cmd (might be "\program files\" for those with english version.)

Thanks for software !

if you try the new 0.2.3b version of steampwd the testing of NoMachineSpecificPassphraseAvailable is automatic (so you don't need to specify it at the command-line):

http://aluigi.org/pwdrec.htm#steampwd

I already added this automatic test in the previous 0.2.3a version but there was a bug which avoided it to work correctly.
