Here's a quote from nirsoft about its location

Code:
Q: What is the Registry location that Windows XP stores the wireless key ?
A: The wireless keys are stored in the Registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WZCSVC\Parameters\Interfaces\[Interface Guid]. The [Interface Guid] is a unique GUID value the represents your wireless network card. The keys are well-encrypted by Windows operating system, so you cannot watch them with RegEdit.

Q: What is the Registry location that Windows Vista stores the wireless key ?
A: Windows Vista doesn't store the wireless keys in Registry anymore. Instead, the keys are stored in the file system - under c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Wlansvc\Profiles\Interfaces\[Interface Guid]. The [Interface Guid] is a unique GUID value the represents your wireless network card. The keys are stored and well-encrypted inside the .xml files that you can find in the above path.

Notice how he says "well-encrypted"? i've never seen him say that before, so microsoft must of did something right here. My question is if you guys have any idea how they're encrypted.

the nirsoft tool which decrypts them can be found at http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_key.html

as far as I know the wireless keys are encrypted with the ntlm authentication algorithm: watch for example ntlm_smb_nt_encrypt from libntlm http://josefsson.org/libntlm/

the requirement parameters are located in the file
"C:\windows\system32\Microsoft\Protect\S-x-x-xx\User\xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx"
and in the registry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WZCSVC\Parameters\Interfaces\{xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}" (or the xml file in c:\programdata in vista).

anyway that's the max I know because I'm totally uninterested to the argument.

Thanks a lot for the response aluigi, you seriously have to be one of the most gifted reverse engineers on this planet. Hopefully 1 day a big corp will recognize and require your skillz, and drop a big bag of money on your lap :)

hehe, sry for offtopic, but this is why Luigi is good in what he does.
if somebody starts doing it for money...it will change them forever and turn them into money-greedy monkeys ..take MagicISO and PowerISO as examples...they steal Luigi's code just to sell their stuff. (there are exeptions ofc)
