Hello everyone,
I was wondering if someone could tell me how i would send a empty UDP packet or any UDP packet to a css server to lag it lol? I was reading up on some random stuff and apparently if you send a empty packet to a server, the server sends u back the full state of the game.

Could anyone tell me how i would use winsock UDP? I never mucked around with that, i've looked around but i cant work it out. I can do basic TCP and sending packets, just not for css servers. I hope someone could help, thanks

Nice site btw

this is a question for google, not for this forum.

if you want to "test" the sending of one of more empty udp packets you can just trying udpsz:
http://aluigi.org/testz.htm#udpsz

one: udpsz SERVER PORT 0
multiple: udpsz -l 100 SERVER PORT 0

didn't steam had some kind of protection against such things ?
like challenge response or did it need valid cd-key first.
i think you are very wrong or you just 'heard' it from some dumb kid who knows nothing at all.

such threads been thru Luigi's forum many times and as far as i know nobody have found a way to actually damage steam based servers at all.
there was one exploit for some game, but i can't remember what it was about. Luigi should know better :)

....
if you so presistant and sure that you can just send random packets into a game server, then just google for "packet generator".
even commview can generate and send a packet.
