This guy here from consumerwatchdog says that chrome spys on what you type in and whatever you type in is sent back to google and kept in a database with the record of your IP. Heres the article: http://www.thebigmoney.com/blogs/feelin ... spying-you

it's true that google (the search engine) has a javascript which sends to client1.google.com all the chars you type.
it's not true that it's used to "spy".

that thing is only needed to offer the possibility of choosing the most typed keywords without typing them entirely ("auto-completion") and has never been a secret.

maybe the google chrome browser could have other similar "auto-completion" related thing but defining them "spy"-related it's enough exagerated: the users are lazy and they get what they want, simple.
