have you used fsbext 0.2.8? (it fixes the extracted gc and xma files)
what is the codec used in the extracted files? (xma, adp, pcm, gc, ...)

ok but what is the type of codec showed by fsbext?
paste all the line containing the name of the first file (the needed field is at its right)

judging the extension and the impossibility of playing them I guess the file are MS ADPCM in which case it's enough to use VLC to play them.
other open source programs that support this codec are mplayer and ffmpeg.

sure.
ffmpeg -i input.wav output.ogg

you can get a windows compiled version of ffmpeg from http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php

hello luigi

i try to play one fsb file with the music fsb player : http://jerome.jouvie.free.fr/Fmod/Projects/Project1.php

in the player , you can play ,see the real name of the files inside the fsb files ,convert the sounds inside the fsb in waw , but the files can't be playing or read on anykind of player , vlc included

trying to install the mplayer or ffmeg but i'm not very skilled for command line..like some others i think

can't you provide a easy tool like your fsbextractor who can directly extract and convert without command line the sounds in a readable format ??

eh no, fsbext is and will remain only a dumper for various reasons (included the absence of some codecs like xma and so on).
anyway mplayer is really a joke to get and use:
http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php
and then use it from the command-line simply typing:
mplayer file.wav
