Hi,

I have wired and wireless network adaptor in my laptop. Both can connect to internet, and both have only LAN ip address. I hope to bind proxymini to my wireless NIC, then some of my applications can use wireless connection through this local proxy. (Windows only use wired connection when both wired and wireless connected)

Fortunately I found proxymini, but unfortunately it doesn't work...

Here is my adaptors and IP:
Code:
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
        Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :
        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.200.0.15
        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.200.0.180

Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection:
        Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :
        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.115
        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

I'm using XP sp3, and I tried:
proxymini.exe -L 192.168.1.115
proxymini.exe -l 10.200.0.15 -L 192.168.1.115
proxymini.exe -l 127.0.0.1 -L 192.168.1.115

with IE proxy 192.168.1.115 / 10.200.0.15 / 127.0.0.1 at port 8123, I can't open any website. The output by using -v parameter is:
Code:
- bind 0.0.0.0:8123
- ready for HTTP, HTTP CONNECT, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 (both TCP and UDP)
192.168.1.115:1278 connected
192.168.1.115:1278 GET www.google.com:80/
192.168.1.115:1278 disconnected

When I disconnected the line of wired NIC, the proxy works. But it is not what I want. I hope the two NIC can be used at same time. I just need to control some applications to go through wireless connection..

Anything wrong with my usage?

Thanks in advance!

uhmmm have you tried using: proxymini -l 192.168.1.115 -L 192.168.1.115
and then setting 192.168.1.115 as proxy server in your browser?

are you 100% sure that these wireless interface can access to internet?
I ask this because could happen that you can access a wireless network but then it's closed in LAN (for example access point up but not connected to internet)

I just tried proxymini -l 192.168.1.115 -L 192.168.1.115, and 192.168.1.115:8123 as proxy server, it still not work...

I am sure the wireless interface can access to internet, because after I unpluged the line, I can still access to internet, and http://whatismyipaddress.com/ will show the public IP of wireless connection. After unpluged the line, the proxy works as I expected.

BTW, mycrc is another great small tool I am using. :-)

basically when you use -L proxymini automatically binds the specified interface for the outgoing sockets so I don't have much other ideas.

have you tried specifying an IP address like 74.125.39.147 instead of www.google.com?
it's only a hyphotesis about a possible problem with the resolution of the names which I guess is not your case.
remember to use -v in proxymini to check if the connection is handled.

:-( not work as before...

I tried "-L 192.168.1.115 -v" and "-l 192.168.1.115 -L 192.168.1.115 -v"

- bind 192.168.1.115:8123
- ready for HTTP, HTTP CONNECT, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 (both TCP and UDP)
192.168.1.115:2398 connected
192.168.1.115:2398 GET 140.239.191.10:80/
192.168.1.115:2398 disconnected

google's ip is also tested.
