Hello I have a couple of issues when I try to run q3fill.exe in Jedi Academy, in the Movie battles II modification with the latest q3fill file (i just downloaded today the latest version)

First of simply doing q3fill.exe -n -u 72.9.103.135 29070 Fails (the Ip there is for test server) It says something about Server uses protocol version 26.

I tried looking around and figured out that using a custom command like

q3fill.exe -m "forcepowers\1-1-010000000000000000\cg_predictItems\1\color1\3" -n -v -1 -t 5 -u 72.9.103.135 29070

will help, so I did that and the result was "done". So I am like wooho I did it, but the bot seems to lag out and not crash the server like old versions of q3fill did, so my question is what is wrong why did the older q3fill crash the server and this one doesnt , also it only took 1 bot too.

Server will be up 24/7 for further testing. I hope you can help, thank you

if you remove the -1 option the filling will continue to work till the server is full or is reached the connections-per-ip limit used in some mods.

I think that the crash about you refer is the one, right?

Correct That is the crash that I refer to. And I tried that with the maximum 2 IP which used to be enough to crash the server, but now when the 2 bots connect, nothing happens so is there a way around this?

well how exactly does the command line from -m forcepowers\1-1-010000000000000000\cg_predictItems\1\color1\3" -n -v -u 72.9.103.135 29070

"forcepowers\1-1-010000000000000000\cg_predictItems\1\color1\3"

Alter q3fill?

Well what I'm saying is that when I try to run q3fill against the test server mentioned, If i simply do q3fill.exe -n -u IP PORT the bots fail at connection and I get an error: Server uses protocol version 26.

Now when I do q3fill.exe -m "forcepowers\1-1-010000000000000000\cg_predictItems\1\color1\3" -n -u IP PORT

The bots connect but simply lag out after maybe 5 minutes.

now in the past, when I ran q3fill.exe -n IP PORT I didn't get that error of: Server uses protocol version 26. and it would only take 1 bot or 2 connecting to the server for the server to crash due to lag in less than 3minutes.

So since the only way to connect the bots now and avoid the error of: Server uses protocol version 26. is using q3fill.exe -m "forcepowers\1-1-010000000000000000\cg_predictItems\1\color1\3" -n -u IP PORT, why is it that when I do this command the server bots simply connect and do not crash the server? (If your answer is I don't know, then explain to me how does -m "forcepowers\1-1-010000000000000000\cg_predictItems\1\color1\3" get around the error Server uses protocol version 26, for I believe my answer is in there. [that when you get around the error with this command, you take some attribute of q3fill that used to crash the server])

So that is one big duo question,

next question is, is there another way or -m command to get around The Error Server uses protocol version 26. apart from using the command -m "forcepowers\1-1-010000000000000000\cg_predictItems\1\color1\3" ????

I Hope i made myself clear :)

the answer is simple, the server uses a mod which filters checks the parameters in the "connect" packet and if there are no forcepowers, cg_predictItems and color it kicks the client, this same mod implements also the fix for the crash described in that other link.

about your last question, these 3 parameters are required but naturally you can change the values in them to anything you want (for example color\1234 and so on).
