it's simply that you don't have q3infoboom.exe in the current directory in which you are in the console or in the directories listed in the PATH environment variable (like for example c:\windows)

example valid for any command-line tool:
copy q3infoboom.exe in c:\
when you launch the console (cmd.exe) type cd \ and then you can use q3infoboom.

man you need to learn how to use CMD.
i always say that if you don't know how to use cmd, then you should not use such tools at all and stick to the BASIC of computers (listen music and browse).
however i have tutorial on youtube
How to use command prompt

*vista sucks and microsoft has a big conspiracy going on, which is:
ELIMINATE usage of such tools, which seem to be working pretty well lately, ppl keep complaining that this and that doesnt work on vista..(truecrypt, wpe pro, commview, several cmd based tools..etc)
and on top of that my friend had problems with a simple FTP program where vista didn't allow drag&drop download/upload.

What was the point of that post, all i'm interested in is trying to work infoboom..it worked before absolutely fine and now it doesn't. If you could tell me exactly how to use the cmd to fix it, would be very helpful. thankyou.

my point is .. if you don't know how to use cmd, then you should not use cmd-based tools before you learn how to use cmd.

the problem you posted is just too obvious and silly. you can compare your question to this "why i cant hear any music when i disconnect my speakers". im not saying you stupid ..etc, we all started somewhere. all im saying is that first you need to learn to use cmd. not master all commands, but enought to BROWSE around, delete, move, copy, paste, execute and check folders and hidden files. in other words...basic of cmd. thats exactly what my video is about.

the exact problem you have. you simply browse into the folder where your .exe is and type "program.exe" and the program WILL execute (at least the .exe will, if its invalid it will give some other error, but it doesnt say it doesnt exist if its there). BUT if you do not know how to browse into the "../desktop/q3infoboom" folder, then its other thing. also if you DID browse in there and it says it, then it simply means you either typed "q3infoboom.exe" wrong OR its no longer in that folder OR its not named "q3infoboom.exe"

Do you mean the folder is called q3infoboom.exe, or there is a file called q3infoboom.exe?

see ? this is why i said learn cmd first. FILE ofcourse. you want to execute the q3infoboom.exe not the folder :)
it doesn't matter where your q3infoboom.exe is and it also doesnt matter if you rename it to q3.exe (or anything you like) all you need to do is to browse into the folder with cmd, where the program is, and simply execute it thru cmd (by typing the name of program, either with or without .exe at end).
