I don't know if this can be helpful anyway the following is a quick step-by-step to keep the Carmageddon series updated and for using it on the modern operating systems without problems.

Carmageddon:
- download carv24row.zip OR carmarush3d.exe and unzip it in the game's folder (the files containined in them are the SAME except for an additional 3dfx.bat in the second one)
- now the game can be used from:
--- Windows (best choice, CARM95.EXE -hires): download my No-cd fix http://aluigi.org/patches/carm95_1001.zip
--- DOS with a Glide wrapper (like with dgVoodoo): download carmav2a.exe and unzip it in the game's folder
--- DOS: download my No-cd fix http://aluigi.org/patches/carma.zip

Carmageddon 2:
- download and install englishbloodv2_0.exe
- download http://games.sci.co.uk/games/downloads/ ... ma2_hw.zip and unzip it in the game's folder

Carmageddon TDR2000:
- download and install tdrupgradepatch.exe
- download tdrusminipatch.exe and unzip it in the game's folder
- set the "Windows 98 / Windows Me" compatibility in the properties of tdr2000.exe
- launch the shortcut for configuring the game, if you don't have it create a shortcut of tdr2000.exe and append a -s in the "Target" field (in short you must run: tdr2000.exe -s)
- here is possible to set all the values to the max (like 32 bit and so on) BUT the most important setting is the "Mip-Filter" which MUST be set to "None"
- download my No-cd fix http://aluigi.org/patches/carmatdr-1.159.zip

in case someone has difficulties to find the needed patches they are all available in the following locations:
http://gamesurf.tiscali.it/dynamic/down ... GINA/patch
http://gamesurf.tiscali.it/dynamic/down ... GINA/patch

feel free to post comments, doubts or additional problems to fix

in my opinion the graphic of TDR2000 is not that bad.... it's still nice and playable.

different situation for Carmageddon 2 which has an horrible graphic
while the first Carmageddon has a type of graphic that naturally is not so good as we mean nowadays but has a style which is great
